		<description><![CDATA[<p>Start Date: August 2008&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><P>The Assistant Director of Career Outreach is primarily responsible for delivering services and information to students within the University of Evansville&#39;s Residential Living environments and other off-site locations.&nbsp; The assistant director will target first and second year students living within the Residence Halls and focus their outreach efforts through promoting and encouraging: student self-assessment, job search tools and resources, and active participation in the University of Evansville&#39;s many opportunities in Experiential Education.&nbsp; The ultimate objective of their outreach would be for every undergraduate student to participate in some form of Experiential Education, with a special emphasis upon opportunities in Indiana.&nbsp; The position reports directly to the director of career services and would be working collaboratively with other functional areas of Student Life, Academic Affairs, and Alumni Relations.</P>
<P>Specific Duties include:<BR>1.&nbsp;Deliver career services in nontraditional settings by establishing and maintaining a mobile office of Career Services to be housed within the University of Evansville&#39;s Residential Living environments and other off site locations.<BR>2.&nbsp;Conduct individual career advisement appointments which target the developmental and interest appropriate needs of undergraduate students, with a specific focus on career-related decision-making, personal skill development, campus involvement, study abroad, academic majors, and Experiential Education.<BR>3.&nbsp;Create and implement programming that is creative, relevant and supports the educational goals of residential living, which include self-understanding and personal career development, academic majors and career options, and the University of Evansville Experiential Education Program.<BR>4.&nbsp;Develop a strong working relationship with the residence life staff to foster a sense of trust, respect, and collaboration needed to effectively communicate with campus residents.<BR>5.&nbsp;Support and encourage participation in Career Services events and programming and assist, as needed, with career fairs, campus recruiting, and other tasks associated with delivering comprehensive career services in a university setting.<BR>6.&nbsp;Encourage and direct students to register with UE JobLink and promote the functions and benefits of the designated, web-based, electronic student information system to all university constituents.<BR>7.&nbsp;Foster and support the efforts of career services in developing and maintaining strong working relationships within the academic affairs of the university to include, but not limited to the academic advising center, faculty members, department chairs, and deans.<BR>8.&nbsp;Support the efforts of Career Services in the development of collaborative working relationships with the Office of Institutional Advancement, Employers, and Alumni; specifically as it relates to the development of full-time positions and Experiential Education programs within the State of Indiana.<BR>9.&nbsp;Other duties as assigned.</P>
<P>A Masters Degree in college student personnel, counseling or related field is required.&nbsp; Some previous experience or demonstrated understanding of delivering career services in a university setting would be beneficial.&nbsp; Appropriate computer skills, understanding of web-based software delivery systems, interpersonal communication, organizational skills, flexibility, creativity, teamwork and a sense of humor are essential.&nbsp; Must be willing to maintain non-traditional office hours, which include evenings and occasional weekends; be self-directed and intrinsically motivated.</P>

		<description><![CDATA[<p>Start Date: July 2008&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><P>The Publications Production Assistant is responsible for preparing copy for editing, proofing, and design; processing all print jobs; maintaining necessary paperwork; and logging progress on all print jobs.&nbsp; In addition, the assistant prepares bids for printers and coordinates and communicates with printers.&nbsp; The position also provides clerical support to the Office of Publications.&nbsp; This is a full-time position in the Office of Publications reporting to the Director of Publications.&nbsp; </P>
<P>Responsibilities include:<BR>1.&nbsp;Log in new publications. Monitor and track all print jobs daily through completion, adhering to production schedules and budget. <BR>2.&nbsp;Handle copy received as e-mails or on disks, retrieve jobs from backup system, and make all editing and proofing corrections in the file.<BR>3.&nbsp;Solicit printing quotes. Coordinate vendor quotes and inform the director of all relevant expenses and issues.<BR>a.&nbsp;Serves as contact with printers, securing placement production and delivery of job.<BR>4.&nbsp;Handle processing of purchase orders, internal charge authorization forms, checks, and invoices.<BR>5.&nbsp;Produce monthly job reports and provide information to the director as needed.<BR>6.&nbsp;Sort and distribute office mail.&nbsp; Prepare all FedEx shipments.<BR>7.&nbsp;Maintain filing and backup systems.<BR>8.&nbsp;Serve as the public&#39;s point of contact for the office.<BR>9.&nbsp;Order and maintain inventory of office supplies.<BR>10.&nbsp;Other duties as assigned by the Director of Publications.</P>

<P>Responsibilities include to serve&nbsp;as Principal Flute in the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra;&nbsp;&nbsp; approximately 130 services with the EPO (includes all orchestra and Consortium Ensemble services).&nbsp; Teach studio flute, perform with the Harlaxton Woodwind Quintet, serve as Flute faculty for the annual Shepard Honor Band, participate in recruiting and admissions activities, additional teaching to complete a half-time load. </P>
<P>Qualifications include performance at a very high level of artistic accomplishment including solo, chamber, and orchestral experience; a strong commitment to teaching.&nbsp; Masters Degree required and college level teaching experience desired.</P>
<P>The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra and the University of Evansville collaborate fully in the selection and employment of Consortium personnel.<BR>&nbsp;<BR>The University of Evansville is an independent, church-related, university located in a city of 135,000 in southwestern Indiana.&nbsp; Enrollment numbers 2,500 full-time undergraduate students.
