Full time (40 hours per week) position with responsibilities as follows: 

• Prepares University facilities for special events/functions
• Relocates furniture, boxes, tables, chairs, etc. as assigned
• Maintains inventory of portable equipment/furniture
• Performs minor building maintenance as directed (change light bulbs, wash windows, paint, general labor, etc.)
• Assists other maintenance personnel as assigned
• Other duties as assigned. 
• Works alternate weekends (Saturday & Sunday) when school is in session

Must be a high school graduate and have a valid vehicle operator's license; knowledge of proper use of rigging and lifting/moving equipment.  A minimum of three years general maintenance or similar experience.

The Assistant Director of Career Outreach is primarily responsible for delivering services and information to students within the University of Evansville's Residential Living environments and other off-site locations.  The assistant director will target first and second year students living within the Residence Halls and focus their outreach efforts through promoting and encouraging: student self-assessment, job search tools and resources, and active participation in the University of Evansville's many opportunities in Experiential Education.  The ultimate objective of their outreach would be for every undergraduate student to participate in some form of Experiential Education, with a special emphasis upon opportunities in Indiana.  The position reports directly to the director of career services and would be working collaboratively with other functional areas of Student Life, Academic Affairs, and Alumni Relations.

Specific Duties include:
1. Deliver career services in nontraditional settings by establishing and maintaining a mobile office of Career Services to be housed within the University of Evansville's Residential Living environments and other off site locations.
2. Conduct individual career advisement appointments which target the developmental and interest appropriate needs of undergraduate students, with a specific focus on career-related decision-making, personal skill development, campus involvement, study abroad, academic majors, and Experiential Education.
3. Create and implement programming that is creative, relevant and supports the educational goals of residential living, which include self-understanding and personal career development, academic majors and career options, and the University of Evansville Experiential Education Program.
4. Develop a strong working relationship with the residence life staff to foster a sense of trust, respect, and collaboration needed to effectively communicate with campus residents.
5. Support and encourage participation in Career Services events and programming and assist, as needed, with career fairs, campus recruiting, and other tasks associated with delivering comprehensive career services in a university setting.
6. Encourage and direct students to register with UE JobLink and promote the functions and benefits of the designated, web-based, electronic student information system to all university constituents.
7. Foster and support the efforts of career services in developing and maintaining strong working relationships within the academic affairs of the university to include, but not limited to the academic advising center, faculty members, department chairs, and deans.
8. Support the efforts of Career Services in the development of collaborative working relationships with the Office of Institutional Advancement, Employers, and Alumni; specifically as it relates to the development of full-time positions and Experiential Education programs within the State of Indiana.
9. Other duties as assigned.

A Masters Degree in college student personnel, counseling or related field is required.  Some previous experience or demonstrated understanding of delivering career services in a university setting would be beneficial.  Appropriate computer skills, understanding of web-based software delivery systems, interpersonal communication, organizational skills, flexibility, creativity, teamwork and a sense of humor are essential.  Must be willing to maintain non-traditional office hours, which include evenings and occasional weekends; be self-directed and intrinsically motivated.

The Department of Theatre seeks qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Technical Director.  This position will work closely with the faculty Technical Director to implement departmental policies and procedures.  Specific responsibilities include:  the supervision of student crews in the construction, installation, and strike of all scenic elements for the department's six-production season.  Individual would also be responsible for maintaining shop safety, equipment, and cleanliness.  Applicant must have excellent carpentry and organizational skills.  Rigging and welding experience a plus; knowledge of lighting and sound system troubleshooting and maintenance also a plus.  A bachelors degree in theatre required.  Theatre experience with one or two years past graduation experience desired.  This position will work 40 hours per week for 10 months.

The Publications Production Assistant is responsible for preparing copy for editing, proofing, and design; processing all print jobs; maintaining necessary paperwork; and logging progress on all print jobs.  In addition, the assistant prepares bids for printers and coordinates and communicates with printers.  The position also provides clerical support to the Office of Publications.  This is a full-time position in the Office of Publications reporting to the Director of Publications. 

Responsibilities include:
1. Log in new publications. Monitor and track all print jobs daily through completion, adhering to production schedules and budget.
2. Handle copy received as e-mails or on disks, retrieve jobs from backup system, and make all editing and proofing corrections in the file.
3. Solicit printing quotes. Coordinate vendor quotes and inform the director of all relevant expenses and issues.
a. Serves as contact with printers, securing placement production and delivery of job.
4. Handle processing of purchase orders, internal charge authorization forms, checks, and invoices.
5. Produce monthly job reports and provide information to the director as needed.
6. Sort and distribute office mail.  Prepare all FedEx shipments.
7. Maintain filing and backup systems.
8. Serve as the public's point of contact for the office.
9. Order and maintain inventory of office supplies.
10. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Publications.

Qualifications include proficiency in use of Macintosh computer and industry software, especially QuarkXPress and Microsoft Word.  A working knowledge of printing is required, as well as strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.  Three to five years of experience in a similar position is desired.

The University of Evansville's Schroeder Family School of Business Administration invites applications for a tenure-track position in Accounting at the Assistant/Associate Professor level beginning fall 2008.
 
The position is a new faculty position initially funded by a $15 million grant from the Lily Endowment, Inc.  The University was awarded this grant to enhance the School's experiential learning environments and create the Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana.  The position will have responsibility for teaching required and elective courses in the accounting area at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Strong teaching interests in accounting with secondary interests in finance are preferred.  In addition, professional work experience and CPA licensure is highly desirable.  Knowledge of global business applications and experience is a strong plus.  We are seeking applicants with a Ph.D. in accounting.  Ideal candidates would have a record of teaching experience and demonstrated research potential in the accounting area.

Principal Flute, Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra
Adjunct Instructor of Flute (Half-time), University of Evansville

Responsibilities include to serve as Principal Flute in the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra;   approximately 130 services with the EPO (includes all orchestra and Consortium Ensemble services).  Teach studio flute, perform with the Harlaxton Woodwind Quintet, serve as Flute faculty for the annual Shepard Honor Band, participate in recruiting and admissions activities, additional teaching to complete a half-time load.

Qualifications include performance at a very high level of artistic accomplishment including solo, chamber, and orchestral experience; a strong commitment to teaching.  Masters Degree required and college level teaching experience desired.

The University of Evansville is an independent, church-related, university located in a city of 135,000 in southwestern Indiana.  Enrollment numbers 2,500 full-time undergraduate students. The Department of Music has 120 undergraduate music majors with degree programs in performance, music education, music therapy, music management, and general studies (BA).  Eighteen full-time and ten part-time faculty offer instruction on every major instrument, keyboard, and voice.

The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra performs seven classics and four pops concerts each season.  A series of  Messiah  performances, youth concerts,  and other concerts are included in each season.  The EPO has two Youth Orchestras and a 100-voice adult chorus.

UNIVERSITY OF EVANSVILLE Department of Theatre seeks qualified candidates for the tenure-track position of Lighting Designer. Individual will design lighting and/or mentor student designers for a six - production theater season.  Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate students in the area of lighting design and technology, CAD, a theatre-related general education course and collaborative teaching with faculty within the design and technology core curriculum.  Individual will be in charge of maintenance of all lighting equipment and supervision of student lighting crews.   Applicants must possess a high level of skill in the use of computer software application in design.
