A Message from the President

For the past two years, the University of Evansville was involved in a comprehensive self-study of our entire institution. This self-study was in preparation for reaccreditation by the North Central Association Higher Learning Commission. Through our self-study, the University examined its successes in meeting our mission over the past ten years since our last visit.  At the same time the self-study process helped us look forward, complementing our strategic planning process and strengthening our institution's understanding of how our planning for the future can assure our continuous improvement efforts for academic excellence.

The self-study was broad-based, involving the University's faculty, staff, administration, students, alumni, and members from the community that we serve. The committee members and task team members who had primary responsibility for gathering information and preparing for the self-study are listed on this web site and an outline of the highlights of the self-study is also posted for your viewing. Our reaccreditation visit was November 14-16, 2005. We look forward to receiving the Higher Learning Commission's reaccreditation decision in the spring of 2006.
