Education

The Master of Science in Education at the University of Evansville is a unique and rigorous 14-month program offering experienced teachers the opportunity to become even better teachers.

Each June, a new cohort of students launches into the classroom - and application-based curriculum, which was designed to help practicing teachers gather, examine, and use multiple forms of assessment data to inform instruction for ALL students. For the next 14 months — comprising two summer sessions, and two full academic semesters — the cohort participants learn skills to help improve their students' achievement. They learn to use research-based strategies in the classroom; they learn to use data to inform and improve their lessons; and they create classroom research, inquiry, and assessments designed to continually examine student performance. Throughout their program, students learn to be more effective instructional leaders, mentors, and models.
