Undeclared Students
What an opportunity for Discovery!
At UE, we celebrate the diverse interests of our undeclared students. Among this group of students, we find our most unique and talented individuals.
What better place to discover your path than at a university whose very mission is to provide a broad-based understanding in many areas? In an ever-changing world, entering UE as an undeclared major is not only a wonderful opportunity, it is a great idea!
Through the Major Discovery Program you will have the resources and expertise to assist as you choose your academic path at the University of Evansville.
- You will be assigned to a faculty advisor who will help match your interests to an area of study.
- Through our general education curriculum, you may discover exciting options you never knew existed. Our liberal arts and sciences philosophy affords you the freedom to take your time and sample a variety of majors while you meet requirements for graduation.
- A class exclusively for undeclared majors—DISC 300: Journeys and Discoveries—provides a structured academic approach to discovering options for major and career choices.
- A Major Affair is held each semester for you to interact with faculty members and learn more about each academic program.
- Do What You Are career assessment testing is available for you to identify your interests, skills and corresponding academic paths.
- The Director of the Major Discovery Program will coordinate co-curricular activities that help you investigate your surroundings, and give you an opportunity to meet other students in this program and track your progress to an area of academic study.
