Harlaxton Trip 2012

Harlaxton

The Center for Adult Education and the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations offers you an opportunity to relive your Harlaxton Experience or to capture those memories for the first time. The trip is open to all current Center for Adult Education students and their family members/guests (UE and Harlaxton alumni and their guests must register with the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations.) The package includes a seven-night stay at Harlaxton Manor, educational sessions, day trips to places of interest in the surrounding area and other special events.

Travelers should note that the 2012 Olympics will be going on in England at the time of this trip. Travel arrangements to and from England should be looked into soon and considered before registering for the trip. Travelers may want to price flights to and from Birmingham and/or Manchester or even Edinburgh in addition to London Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

Accommodations

Harlaxton

All travelers will be housed in the Manor or Carriage House, where no two rooms are alike. And in true European style, they do not include bathrooms. Student rooms are furnished modestly with single beds, desks, dressers/closets and chairs. Each room has a hand basin and shared bathroom facilities along the corridor. For the most part they are roomy and comfortable: students live in them for an entire semester. Travelers will not be sharing a room with a stranger.
