The mission of the Department of Exercise and Sport Science is to provide a dynamic educational experience for the study of health, fitness, wellness, and sport that imparts the values, experiences, and skills necessary for students' future leadership roles as scholars engaged in lifelong learning and as professionals serving their communities through the promotion of healthy behavior and lifestyles.
Here are four great reasons to major in exercise and sport science at the University of Evansville:
Choose a distinguished program of study - Evansville is one of only a few select schools nationally that has been accredited by the National Athletic Training Association (NATA), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Select your major from various areas including: athletic training, clinical laboratory science, exercise science, physical education, sport communication, and sport management.
Work with Division I athletes - our students' clinical education experiences occur while working with the University's 14 athletic teams.
There are numerous internship opportunities - you can work at a cardiac rehabilitation center or as a trainer in a corporate wellness program or other fitness center.
