Neuroscience
Students interested in exploring how the nervous system regulates the thoughts and behaviors of humans should consider UE's interdisciplinary program in neuroscience. Students who choose this major are prepared for careers in health-related fields such as medicine or for graduate training.
Students in the program are able to study and investigate the organization of the nervous system and behavior. Topics studied include:
Microscopic structure of the brain and its biological processes
Role of the brain in behavioral processes
Here are three reasons to major in neuroscience at the University of Evansville:
Participate in research alongside faculty or individually during the semester or the summer
Opportunity for internships or field experiences in neuroscience
Students take classes in biology, chemistry, and psychology
