Suzanne holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from the University of Evansville and a Master of Science in nursing degree from Indiana University. She is board certified as a psychiatric mental health clinical nurse specialist. She attained the Certified Nurse Educator credential from The National League for Nursing.
Suzanne serves as Counselor for Eta Lambda Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, and is a board member of the Midwest Business Administration Association. She is a member of the National League for Nursing.
Professor Bailey's areas of expertise include therapeutic communication and mental health nursing.
She received the Dean's Teaching Award in 2002, and was selected as a 2008 University Global Scholar for her work related to trans-cultural alternative healing practices. Professor Bailey was the 2010 recipient of The General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of The United Methodist Church Exemplary Teacher Award.
