The University of Evansville's Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program is designed for individuals who want to be involved in direct patient care in the physical therapy profession. The curriculum is composed of basic studies and professional technical courses with laboratory components. A PTA is an educated technical health care worker who carries out patient intervention programs developed by physical therapists and may work in a variety of health care settings.
