Baccalaureate to Doctor of Medicine

How to Apply

Admission to the University of Evansville’s B/MD program is a dual process. Students admitted to the program will be independently accepted into the undergraduate program at the University of Evansville and the medical degree program at the Indiana University School of Medicine-Evansville.

  1. Submit the University of Evansville undergraduate admission application, high school transcript, and SAT or ACT scores to the University of Evansville Office of Admission no later than December 1.

  2. Submit the B/MD Program Application no later than December 15, 2014.

  3. Submit a letter of recommendation from each of the following:

    • High school guidance counselor
    • High school principal
    • High school teacher
    • Unrelated individual (minister, employer, etc.)

    Recommendations should be printed on letterhead, placed in an envelope, and signed across the seal. Each sealed letter of recommendation should be sent to:

  4. Submit an essay addressing personal interest in medicine and long-term goals in the profession. Essays should be emailed as a PDF attachment to B/MD advisor, Dr. Kristy K. Miller, at km123@evansville.edu.

After applications have been processed, the UE B/MD advisory committee will invite qualified applicants for an interview. After applicant interviews, the UE B/MD committee will select qualified candidates for recommendation of acceptance into the UE B/MD program. Final approval for the UE B/MD program will be the responsibility of the Indiana University School of Medicine Admissions Committee.
