Dr. Stamps is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Evansville. He was recognized for his efforts as a teacher by winning the Outstanding Teacher Award for 2004 from the Illinois/Indiana Section of the ASEE.| Before coming to UE, Dr. Stamps was senior staff member at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM and became a consultant for the Department of Energy and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission after his UE faculty appointment. Dr. Stamps has been a faculty member at UE since 1995.

Dr. Unger is the author of the textbook, Analytical Fracture Mechanics, which was originally published in hard cover by Academic Press (1995), and later reprinted in paperback form by Dover Publications (2001). He was awarded| the Sadelle and Sydney Berger Award for scholarly activity by the University of Evansville in 2005, the Dean’s Teaching Award in the College of Engineering and Computer Science in 2006, and designated a UE Global Scholar in 2007. He is a professionally licensed engineer, and has served on the UE faculty for eight years.

Dr. Valenzuela is an an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Evansville and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Indiana. He is the faculty advisor for the ACES Concrete Canoe, Chi Epsilon,| the National Civil Engineering Honor Society, and co-faculty advisor of the student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). In addition to his teaching duties, Dr. Valenzuela is active in the university, serving as Ombudsman from 2005 to 2006 and again from 2009 to 2010, Grand Marshal from 2005 to present, and as a member of the Academic Assessment Committee, The Institutional Diversity Committee and the Honors Program Faculty Committee. In 2008 he was named a UE Global Scholar. He is also the Vice President of the Southwest Indiana Branch of ASCE.
