Dr. Erin Davis teaches courses ranging from introductory to advanced topics in both mathematics and statistics. Dr. Davis is Chair of the Department of Mathematics and coordinates the Actuarial Science program. She earned her Ph. D. in Applied Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where she researched mathematical programming techniques for data mining.
Mohammad Azarian

Professor Mohammad K. Azarian has taught a wide range of classes from general courses to abstract algebra. He is a past recipient of the UE Berger Award for Scholarship (2019), and he was a UE Global Scholar (2007-2008). He served on the Executive Board of the Indiana Section of the Mathematical Association of America (2001-2007), and he was the recipient of the 2017 MAA-Indiana Distinguished Service Award. Dr. Azarian served as a Discipline Peer Reviewer for the Fulbright Scholar Program (2015-2018). Currently, he is a reviewer for MathSciNet and Zentralblatt MATH, is on the editorial boards of two journals, and serves as a referee for several other mathematics journals. He has published papers in infinite group theory, number theory, combinatorics, history of mathematics, as well as various problem proposals. Professor Azarian served on the American Mathematical Society (AMS) Committee on the Human Rights of Mathematicians (2021-2023). In 2023, he was the chair of the committee, and was the AMS Representative on the American Association for the Advancement of Science Human Rights Coalition. Dr. Azarian received his Ph. D. in mathematics from Saint Louis University.

Omid Khormali

Dr. Khormali teaches courses in statistics, data science, and mathematics at UE. He is particularly interested in coaching the ChangeLab course, where students encounter challenges by working on real-world projects provided by clients. Dr. Khormali’s research is on graph machine learning and data analysis, and extremal combinatorics and graph theory. Clark Kimberling

Dr. Clark Kimberling teaches a variety of courses, including Calculus 1,2,3, Differential Equations, Geometry, and Real Analysis. His research interests include number theory, combinatorics, geometry, and mathematics history. With more than 100 research publications, he has also published articles about nineteenth-century scientists who lived in nearby New Harmony, Indiana. His published musical compositions are scored for church choirs, and as instrumental solos. Dr. Kimberling started and continues to manage the Encyclopedia of Triangle Centers, a UE-based one- of-a-kind encyclopedia described on Wikipedia. Many of the subjects in the Encyclopedia are presented in MathWorld.

Dr. Stephanie Underhill earned her PhD in Inquiry Methodology and an M.S. in Applied Statistics from Indiana University. Her interests include the evaluation and improvement of statistical methodologies and their application in a variety of fields. Dr. Underhill is also a proud alumna of the University of Evansville, having earned a B.S. in Sociology/Anthropology from UE in 2014.
