The University of Evansville String Festival brings together top string players from the Tri-State for an invaluable performance and learning opportunity. During the three-day event, students' days are filling with intense rehearsals, sectional coaching and opportunities to work one-on-one with UE faculty and members of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra. The climax of the weekend is a concert for families and friends in Wheeler Concert Hall.
In addition to a memorable musical experience, participants get a glimpse of campus life and a preview of the challenges and opportunities that await them should they decide to pursue a career in music. Since the festival began in 2009, the number of participants has more than tripled in size.
