It’s perfectly normal for some parents to adjust better than others when it comes to sending a child off to college. If you’re a single parent, have an only child, or if you strongly identify with your role as parent, you might experience a particularly difficult time adjusting. It can take quite an emotional toll when everything shifts at the reality that someone you’ve spent as many as 21 years caring is no longer there every day.
This discussion will offer helpful information and tips as you navigate to a new normal at home.
