In difficult economic times, estate planning can be a frightening, confusing process.
That is why the University of Evansville is proud to present a workshop entitled Estate Planning in Uncertain Times next Tuesday, July 21, at 10:00 a.m. in Eykamp Hall (room 252) of the new Ridgway University Center. The workshop, which will feature a panel of experts in the area of financial planning, will focus on helping attendees ensure that their wealth remains in tact and is distributed to heirs and beneficiaries as efficiently and effectively as possible.
The workshop is free and open to the public.
“This is not the first time in history that the economy as faltered, and it won’t be the last,” said Abigail Miley, UE’s director of gift planning and capital support, who will facilitate the forum. “But a down economy is the perfect time to harbor assets and reassess past plans – and the right time to consider the best ways to safeguard your assets, to ensure yours and your family’s economic well-being both now and in the future.”
During the forum, panelists will discuss the importance of planning for the future, how to choose the right estate planning team, and the benefits of charitable gift annuities. Panelists for the day include:
