Clay Club Chili Bowl Sale

On Thursday, November 6, the University of Evansville's Clay Club hosted their annual chili bowl sale. UE's Clay Club raised approximately $2,000 at the sale, and through the combined efforts of faculty and staff, prepared nearly 500 bowls for purchase.

The proceeds of the sale go to various activities within the club and help support many of their activities. One such activity includes attending NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts) which lets students meet with potters and discuss their work as well as observe new techniques and purchase tools for advanceing their work.

Visit the Department of Art to learn more.

Women's Soccer Headed to NCAA Tournament

University of Evansville women's soccer is returning to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in the school's history. UE will compete against Missouri in the first round of the tournament at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, at Missouri. The two schools have met twice before, with UE winning 4-0 at Evansville in 1996 and 2-1 at Columbia in 1997.

This is the first time that a University of Evansville team has advanced to the NCAA Tournament under a first-year coach. Krista McKendree, UE's coach, was a key player on the most recent UE squad to reach the NCAAs, in 2001, and last week she and assistant coaches Matt Kagan and Corey Southers were chosen as the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Coaching Staff of the Year.
