Aces Working for Awareness and Rights for Everyone (AWARE)

AWARE is a student organization founded on our campus to represent the concerns, culture, and life of students with disabilities. Open to all students, AWARE seeks to educatethe campus community about disability issues, advocatefor change within the campus and in the world, and to supportindividuals impacted by disability, whether affected directly or indirectly.For more information contact Kaitlin Thompson, President.

Black Student Union

The Black Student Union meets weekly to share ideas and support African American culture on campus. Members discuss pertinent current events, create cultural programming, and focus on promoting positive African American identities. College Mentors for Kids

College Mentors, Inc., is an innovative non-profit that pairs youth with local college student mentors for weekly activities focusing on higher education, culture and diversity, and community service. For more information contact Hailey Pickerel, President, or Ms. La Toya Smith, Site Coordinator.

French Club

German Club

Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life

UE's Hillel student organization offers opportunities for Jewish students to celebrate Jewish identity and raise Jewish awareness. For more information contact Dr. Valerie Stein, Advisor.

Hispanic Heritage Association

This organization provides cultural support and activities for UE students of Hispanic-Latino decent. Members meet to share in each other's cultures, discuss current events, and foster positive cultural identification. International Students Club

This club is dedicated to preserving, sharing, and understanding cultural relationships around the world. ISC explores concerns arising from international cultural, historical, and socioeconomic events. Students and professionals exchange ideas through weekly meetings, sporting events, and programs. Japanese Club

Muslim Student Association

This organization provides support, advice, and activities to Muslim students who attend UE. Activities planned by the MSA include entertainment, education, and religious programs. For more information contact Dr. Mohammad Azarian, Advisor.

People Respecting Individual Diversity Everywhere (P.R.I.D.E.)

The goal of PRIDE is to create a safe, supportive environment specifically for those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered and their allies. PRIDE hosts educational, social, and charity events that provide support for and raise awareness of LGBT issues. Russian Club (Rush 'n Fun)

The Russian Club organizes various cultural activities, such as Russian films, Russian dinners, and excursion to nearby cities. Knowledge of the Russian language is not required, just an interest in all things Russian and Slavic. For more information contact Dr. John Meredig, Advisor.

Spanish Club

The Spanish Club meets twice a month and allows members to share their interest in Spanish language and culture. For more information contact Mr. Juan Del Valle, Advisor.

UE Step Team

The UE Step Team consists of students interested in the African American tradition of stepping. The Team practices weekly and performs around campus. Membership is open to all UE students. For more information contact Andrea Hughes, President, or Dr. Tyrone Washington, Advisor.

UESOME

The University of Evansville Society of Minority Engineers is UE's local chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers. The mission of NSBE is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.
