Department Chair of Physical Therapy

The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana invites applications for the position of Department Chair. This position is a full-time, tenure track appointment for an individual who will provide leadership for our progressive Doctor of Physical Therapy and Physical Therapist Assistant Programs.

The Department Chair is responsible for overall direction of both education programs and is responsible for accreditation, budgeting, curriculum development and revision, faculty development and evaluation, and program assessment. The Department of Physical Therapy has a long history at the university and an outstanding reputation of educating high-quality physical therapy professionals for more than 35 years. Currently there are 11 full-time faculty members.

The department has recently opened its newly renovated Dunigan Movement Analysis Laboratory. This state-of-the-art, 1,250-square-foot lab anchors the department’s commitment to active engagement in relevant research. Leadership from the chair will support the department’s strong commitment to scholarly activity and facilitate growth in original research productivity of the department.

The position is available August 1, 2014. Requirements include a terminal academic doctorate and eligibility for an Indiana physical therapy license.
