Assistant Professor of English

The Department of English at the University of Evansville invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor. The department seeks an active scholar with the ability to teach Shakespeare and modern British and Irish literature. This candidate must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching. The position carries a load of 6-7 courses during the academic year, including a responsibility to UE’s general education and writing-intensive First Year Seminar programs. The position begins 1 August 2014 and the successful candidate will either hold a Ph.D. or be scheduled to defend.
