Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy
The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana invites applications for a new, full-time, 10 month tenure-track position for our Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Requirements for the position include an academic doctorate or a clinical doctorate with specialist certification, at least 5 years of clinical experience, and eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist in Indiana. Expertise in neuromuscular physical therapy and motor control are preferred. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, scholarly activity, and service to the university, community, and profession.
The Department of Physical Therapy has a long history at the university and has an outstanding reputation of educating high-quality physical therapy professionals for more than 35 years. Currently there are 11 full-time faculty members. The department has recently opened its newly renovated Dunigan Movement Analysis Laboratory. This state-of-the-art, 1,250-square-foot lab anchors the department’s commitment to active engagement in relevant research. This facility reflects the department’s strong commitment to scholarly activity and facilitates growth in original research productivity of the department. The supportive nature of the region’s medical community provides ample opportunities for clinical practice and clinical research collaboration.
