Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering
The University of Evansville invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, beginning August 1, 2014. Applicants should be committed to outstanding undergraduate teaching, have excellent English skills, and be dedicated to project-oriented learning. The applicant should have a primary interest in mechanical systems, with a strong automotive interest, and be able to teach courses and laboratories in engineering mechanics, instrumentation, and machine design. The successful candidate will participate in the program’s Integrated Design Sequence as a faculty advisor. Appropriate scholarly/professional development activities and university service are expected. A B.S. in mechanical engineering or a related discipline and an earned doctorate are preferred; an MSME with professional registration (P.E.) and significant industrial experience will be considered. The program is accredited by EAC-ABET.
