STANDARDIZED TEST POLICY FOR FRESHMAN ADMISSION

Students applying for admission to the University of Evansville’s Fall 2007 freshman class will be required to submit results from either the ACT Assessment with the ACT Writing Test or the new SAT-I (critical reading, math and writing).

Because this is a transitional period, UE will still give full admission consideration to applicants who have taken the SAT-I without the writing section or the ACT without the Writing Test.  However, before enrolling at UE, these students will need to either:

(1) Take a subsequent SAT-I or ACT Assessment with the ACT Writing Test, or
(2) Participate in a writing assessment during UE’s Summer Orientation and Academic Registration (SOAR).  These students will be charged a participation fee for taking part in the SOAR writing assessment.
