Classical Studies

Classical studies is an interdisciplinary liberal arts major for students who wish to study Greek and Roman antiquity with an emphasis on classical language, literature, and history.

Here are three great reasons to major in classical studies at the University of Evansville:

  • Explore an interdisciplinary major—students take courses in languages, archaeology, history, and philosophy.

  • Travel the world—there are numerous opportunities to study abroad including Harlaxton College, our campus in England, and College Year in Athens.

  • Study a variety of languages, including Greek, Latin, and Hebrew. Overall, we offer courses in nine different languages.
