The Department of Communication offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in communication.
 
This major is designed to prepare students for a variety of professional careers involving communication. The program is designed to provide cross-training in a variety of media and communication skills while also providing greater depth in one of four specialty areas; advertising/public relations, journalism, multimedia production, and organizational communication. Students will be required to earn both practica and internship credit to acquire practical experience in an area of their choice. They will also be required to earn either a minor or cognate in a secondary area outside of communication. Communication courses are scheduled to allow students to attend Harlaxton College without disrupting their course sequencing and graduation schedule.
