Increasingly, graduate schools and employers look for students who had real world experience as a part of their undergraduate education. At the University of Evansville, all environmental studies students participate in an internship or cooperative education experience to gain hands-on learning. In addition to earning course credit, these opportunities expose students to aspects of the environmental field that would be nearly impossible to reproduce in a standard classroom or laboratory setting.
