Andrea Harlow
Tipton, Indiana
More than anything else Andrea Harlow wanted a college where she would have close, personal contact with the faculty and her fellow nursing students. At UE, Andrea found not only a close-knit community but also individual support for her goals and dreams.
Nursing classes begin the first semester on campus and provide six full semesters of clinical practice. Despite a busy curricular schedule, Andrea'sprofessors encouraged her to try out for the Aces cheer team and accommodate her schedule as she travels to away games.
"The hands-on experience I've received at UE is something you don't find at many schools; plus my involvement in extracurricular activities is more than I expected. I am thriving in my college experience!"
Andrea realizes the support her professors have given her has been an invaluable part of her education. "Without them prompting me to exploremytalents, I would never have had the confidence to seek graduate school admission at this point in my life." Not only has Andrea now applied and been accepted to graduate school, she also has been selected as a finalist for a full-tuition scholarship at a selective pediatric specialty graduate program at Emory University.
