As a resident assistant in Hale Residence Hall, I want to be available for the guys on my floor. I want them to be active in the community and on campus, which is easy to do since UE has over 170 organizations and the city has countless groups needing assistance.
Over a two-day period this past semester, the guys on my floor created over 100 cards to be delivered to residents of a retirement center. We then delivered the cards. Seeing the smiles on the residents' faces made me feel good inside. It showed me that UE is more than classes, papers, and tests; it is a community.

When I visited the University of Evansville, I knew what I wanted in my university: a unique opportunity to study abroad, a quality academic reputation, and a small but extremely comprehensive classroom. At UE, I found all of that and more. My professors are always available and willing to develop relationships – this is unbelievably good preparation for law school.
The campus feels like home. I've met new people, become active in a fraternity, and was elected the freshman council president. There is plenty to do on campus; the key is to get involved. It's a great way to make friends, and has opened many doors to build new relationships and opportunities.
