Outreach

Neu Chapel is involved in a variety of outreach projects throughout the year. We have established relationships with local community organizations like The United Methodist Youth Home.

Each year during Advent our Sunday morning offerings are used to purchase livestock for families through Heifer International. Heifer's mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth. By giving families a hand-up, not just a hand-out, we empower them to turn lives of hunger and poverty into self-reliance and hope.

University Chaplain, Tammy Gieselman, took students to Washington D.C. to work with and learn about the homeless community. UE students cooked and served meals for homeless folks, worked in a furniture free-store, and stocked food pantry shelves while learning how to be in ministry with the homeless.
