Outside Scholarship Sources
Leave No Stone Unturned in Your Search for Scholarships.
If cost is a concern, you will want to search aggressively for additional scholarships from sources outside of universities and federal and state governments. Some examples are:
- Your high school guidance counselor
- Community Groups
- Your church
- Your place of employment and parents place of employment
-
Internet sources:
-
Local Libraries for publications about scholarships::
- Annual Register of Grant Support
- The Scholarship Book, published by Prentice Hall
- The Grants Register, published by St Martin's Press
- Foundation Grants, published by the Foundation Center
You might be approached by a scholarship search service that charges a fee. We highly recommend that you do not use this method of searching for outside scholarships.
