These organizations have membership open to majors and majors-related areas. Activities are geared around topics related to specific majors.


National Social Fraternities & Sororities

After participating in recruitment, students may be invited to join a social sorority or fraternity.  The groups have scholastic requirements for membership and participate in local and national service projects. Learn more about Greek Life.

Religious Life

Religious organizations are open to all students. Activities center around strengthening one's religious faith, providing fellowship and serving others.


Residence Hall Organizations

Residence hall organizations are open to all members of the respective halls. Residence Hall Council members are elected from each hall.


Social, Civic, and Recreational Organizations

These organizations focus on social, civic, and political action, or simply recreational activity. Membership requirements vary.


Student Government

Student members of these organizations are selected by either campus-wide elections or internal appointments.

Student-Faculty Judicial Board

Student-Faculty Judicial Board members are appointed by Student Congress, University Senate, and the University President.


Student Media


University Committees

Faculty senate student committee members are appointed by the Student Government Association President with confirmation by Student Congress.

Standing University Committees

Often appointed by the University president or deans, these organizations meet on a regular cycle to discuss programs, policies and the future of the University. Student membership is often solicited by the committee chair.
