On this third Sunday of the Easter Season, Douglas Reed, University Organist, will offer Charles-Marie Widor’s Symphonie romane as part of the Vespers service. Based on an ancient Gregorian chant melody, Haec dies, sung on Easter day, Symphonie romane stands as the pinnacle achievement by the composer of the famous Toccata.
