Andrey Biryuchinskiy

Founder, Hardworkers, Inc.

Andrey moved to the U.S. in 2011 at the age of 17 to study at UE; Graduated from UE in 2016 (Majors: Finance, Economics, Minors: Math and Cognitive Science); After graduation, he worked at UBS (an investment bank in Chicago), then graduated from MIT’s Masters in Financial Mathematics program; In 2019, Andrey founded Hardworkers, Inc. (a social network for blue-collar workers that is backed by MIT and Snapchat).

Erik Goodge

President, uVest Advistory Group, LLC

Erik Goodge is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. Erik was born in Evansville, Indiana and raised in Newburgh, Indiana. He attended Reitz Memorial High School before joining the Marine Corps in 2007. In August of 2009, Erik was wounded in Afghanistan by a pressure plate improvised explosive device (IED). He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in action as well as a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Valor for heroic actions under fire. In 2012, Erik retired from the Marine Corps and moved back to Evansville to pursue work and education. Around this time, Erik began to independently manage his own retirement account and research different investing strategies. Before long, Erik began looking for ways to turn his passion for investing into a career.

In 2015, Erik began working as an Investment Advisor Representative for a local fee-only firm in Evansville. In 2017, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Evansville with a B.S. in Economics and Cognitive Science and a minor in Philosophy. After graduation, Erik began to think about ways in which he could utilize his skills and the newest technology available in the financial industry to more efficiently and effectively provide comprehensive financial planning to his clients.

On January 4th, 2018, uVest Advisory Group was born with just such a mandate. In addition to financial planning, Erik is passionate about learning and self-development, reading, running, guitar, and fly fishing when he has time.

Emily Schuster

Independent Digital Consultant, Embrace Marketing & Communications

Emily Schuster, UE ’20, graduated with degrees in Multimedia Communication and Political Science. Upon graduation, she founded Jigsaw Digital Strategies, LLC. The agency provides regional and national clients with strategic marketing solutions, including brand development, website design, social media management, and digital advertising. Schuster is also a founding member and current faculty advisor of UE’s student-run marketing agency, Embrace Marketing and Communications.

Mike Slocum

Executive Director, Indiana INTERNnet

Mike Slocum joined Indiana INTERNnet as its executive director in November 2018 and leads efforts for this statewide not-for-profit organization managed by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. Indiana INTERNnet is the catalyst for expanding the creation and use of experiential learning opportunities as a key strategy in retaining Indiana's top talent. Mike connects students, employers, and educational institutions with the vision of helping every Hoosier student who wants an internship to have one.

Mike recently earned is doctor of education degree in higher education from Ball State University. Prior education includes bachelor's degrees in history and political science from Ball State University and a master's degree in adult and higher education from Grand Valley State University.

Prior to joining Indiana INTERNnet, Mike worked in a variety of capacities at Ivy Tech Community College, including advising, program management, and statewide guidance of campus career centers. Mike's other roles in higher education, workforce development, and student success have been at Grand Valley State University and Ferris State University.

Kat Stambaugh

Orr Fellow | Talent Recruiter, Ascend Indiana

Kat Stambaugh works as the Talent Recruiter at Ascend Indiana, which is a nonprofit that helps connect college students and young professionals with jobs & internships across the state of Indiana. Additionally, Kat is an Orr Fellow based out of Indianapolis.
