Kristie Byrns

Executive Director, Albion Fellows Bacon Center

Kristie Byrns is the Executive Director of Albion Fellows Bacon Center, serving those impacted by domestic and sexual violence, stalking and human trafficking. She’s served in this role since 2016, and was a member of the board of directors from 2013-2016. Prior to her role at Albion, Kristie was the Director for the Center for Adult Education at UE. She earned her BA in Sociology from USI and her MS in Public Service Administration from UE.

Jeremy Evans

Executive Director, The Dream Center

Jeremy Evans is a Christian, husband, father and non-profit leader. He lives in Evansville, Indiana with his wife Tara and three children Lucy, Eleanor and Ben. Jeremy is the Executive Director of Dream Center Evansville, a Christian non-profit dedicated to connecting kids and families to God's will for their lives so they may become self-sufficient members of the community.

Nathan Jochum

Marketing, Communications & Special Events Coordinator/Co-Director - ParksFest Music Festival, Chapter Chair - SCORE Evansville Chapter

Aurora Inc.

Nathan A Jochum is currently the Marketing, Communications and Special Events Coordinator for Aurora, Inc, which provides housing assistance and homeless services. Nathan also serves as Co-Director of ParksFest Music Festival here in Evansville, is the Chapter Chair for the Evansville SCORE Chapter 268 which mentors small businesses and small business start ups, and he co-hosts his own podcast, Fly/Curious. Before coming to Aurora, Nathan spent 17.5 years working in various capacities at the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library, including 15 years in supervisory and management positions. Nathan has a BS in Public Relations/Advertising from USI and a Masters in Library and Information Science from Drexel University. All together, he has 20 years of non-profit experience and 20 years working and playing in the Evansville music scene in some capacity.

Alex Myers

Training Department Manager, The Bowen Center

Alex Myers has a passion for helping others thrive in life, refusing to let people merely survive through it. Currently, she serves as the Assistant Director of Training at the Otis R. Bowen Center, a non-profit community mental health and physical wellness agency in northern and central Indiana. Her responsibilities include overseeing training compliance, operating a Learning Management System, developing and managing multiple leadership programs, and ensuring competence of the staff.

Alex has the opportunity to facilitate innovation labs for the organization, helping to invoke the creative process in problem-solving. Most recently, she has taken on the responsibility of overseeing Diversity and Inclusion efforts. She received both her Bachelors in Psychology and her Masters in Leadership from the University of Evansville. Both educational opportunities have allowed her to successfully navigate from being a behavioral case manager to the leader of the training department.

Sierra Riordan

Interim Program Director, Aurora, Inc

Sierra Riordan received her bachelors in social work from University of Southern Indiana. She is married and has a son who is 15 months old. Sierra started at Aurora as an intern in August of 2013 with the rapid rehousing program. At the completion of her second internship at Aurora’s Vision 1505 permanent supportive housing complex in 2014, Sierra was offered an opportunity to work at Vision 1505. Vision 1505 is a permanent supportive housing complex that houses 32 formerly homeless families with disabling conditions. Aurora provides on-site case management to help these families obtain and maintain stability in a variety of ways. Sierra started as Aurora’s Vision 1505 community engagement specialist in May of 2014 and in November she was promoted to a case manager at Vision. Later in 2015, Sierra was promoted to Team Lead and ran the Vision 1505 program until January of this year, and she is now currently serving as our Interim Program Director.

Danielle Tessier

Communications and Development Assistant, Youth First, Inc.

Danielle Tessier is a multimedia-minded communications professional from Newburgh, Indiana. She currently works as a Communications & Development Assistant at Youth First Inc, a nonprofit organization that provides essential social work services to students and families across Indiana. Danielle believes in the importance of bolstering the mental health of young people and is committed to using her skillsets to help Youth First continue to empower students to make positive choices.

Shayla Webb

Coordinator of Equity and Diversity, Brownsburg Community School Corporation

Shayla Webb is the first Coordinator of Equity and Diversity for Brownsburg Community School Corporation. Her role is to address inequities by reviewing disaggregated data, targeted professional development, and recruiting a diverse staff. Her goal is to support individual teachers’ development by fostering a culture that promotes strong teaching. In alignment with Brownsburg Community School Corporation, Shayla is committed to maintaining a safe and supportive work environment and providing impactful and transformative professional development opportunities. Ultimately, Shayla is committed to fostering the most conducive environment for productive student learning.

Vanessa York

Human Resources Director, Brentwood Springs

Vanessa York is a resident of Evansville, IN and has been living here since 2013. She originally grew up in central Kentucky and obtained her undergraduate degrees in Business Management and Marketing from the University of Kentucky. After working for a few years, Vanessa realized she had a strong passion in working with people and in their development. She found that her skillsets were aligned in that of Human Resources and so she went back to school in 2014 and obtained her Masters of Science in Human Resources & Leadership Development from the University of Louisville. Vanessa has worked in a variety of different settings ranging from distribution/logistics, retail, manufacturing, and healthcare. She has been with Brentwood Springs as their Human Resources Director since January 2017 and found that not only does she have a passion in developing employees to their full potential, but all in the areas of people. This position has allowed her to grow in broadening her understanding of people and the different paths we lead. Outside of working, Vanessa is a mom to Sloane and has another on the way. She is married to her best friend that she met at UK, since 2015. Vanessa enjoys walking, traveling, reading, and gardening. Anything that involves the outdoors she is all for!
