Update - August 18, 2021

Information for Fall 2021 Return

Dear Aces,

Move-in is rapidly approaching, and we are excited to welcome you all to campus soon. There are many exciting things taking place on campus, including the construction of our new residence hall. You will also see some changes on the second floor of Ridgway University Center, including the new Multicultural Student Commons and the relocation of the Center for Innovation & Change.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve and impact the safety protocols we plan to have in place for fall. Our Coronavirus Task Force continues to work through the latest developments and navigate COVID-19 trends at the local, state, and national levels. Since August 2, masks are required indoors for all individuals, regardless of vaccination status. We encourage you to frequently check your inbox and pay attention to emails from our Coronavirus Task Force. You can also visit our Coronavirus webpage for the latest updates on health and safety guidelines, campus operations, and more.

REQUIRED COVID TEST/VACCINATION - PRIOR to arrival on campus, all students must submit a negative COVID-19 test result or proof of full vaccination through an online form. If you are fully vaccinated, you will not be required to participate in the Random COVID-19 Testing Program this fall. More information is available on our website. Remember, you will not be allowed to attend classes, nor will you be able to move into your residence hall or village unit, until this requirement is met. If you have any questions, contact the Office of the Dean of Students at deanofstudents@evansville.edu or call (812) 488-2500.

We are pleased to announce that CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF III) grants will be made available to students in the fall semester. HEERF III funds can be used to assist students with any costs associated with the required COVID-19 testing. These HEERF III funds will be processed as direct payments to students, or you may choose to apply grant funds as payment to your student account. More detailed information regarding HEERF III funds disbursement will be provided to all registered students in early September.

We appreciate your continued patience and support through these challenging times, and we look forward to the upcoming academic year with our Aces.

Sincerely,

Dana Clayton, EdD
Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students
