I am a stage management major in the Department of Theatre.

    Houston, Texas

  3. Why did you choose to attend UE?
I decided to attend UE because I was strongly drawn to so much of what this university has to offer. As a stage manager, I was initially pulled by the outstanding program that the Department of Theatre upholds. I loved the idea of an experiential based education that is geared toward making me a successful student as well as a successful professional. Additionally, I quickly fell in love with the communal atmosphere that UE maintains. I think it is so important that your university cultivates a healthy social life while protecting a full-bodied academic experience, and UE staunchly fits that bill.

  4. Why did you choose to participate in the Honors Program?
I decided to participate in the honors program because I was interested in heightening my academic experience at UE while also receiving the amazing “perks” that students of the program have access to! I enjoyed the idea of being a part of an academic community that can act as a refuge from the craze of everyday life as well as a support system for all your endeavors.

  5. What do you enjoy most about the Honors Program?
The thing I love most about the honors program is that it opens up so many opportunities and exposes its students to culturally enriching experiences. Whether it’s community service projects, special honors courses, or social gatherings, honors students get exposure to a wide array of experiences.

  6. What has been your favorite Honors class so far, and why?
My favorite honors class thus far has unquestionably been Survey and Analysis of Dramatic Literature taught by Dr. Diane Brewer. I loved the experience of being challenged academically while also being exposed to new concepts that will better myself as a student and professional. This course covers a curriculum that I am incredibly excited about while also teaching important analytical and conversational skills that I think are crucial to both the academic and post-graduation experience. It was my favorite academic experience so far!

  7. What are your plans/goals following graduation?
After graduation I hope to move to New York City and begin work as a stage manager. The end game is to work on Broadway!
