What is your major?
What is your home city/state?
Why did you choose to attend UE?
Not only was UE close to my home, but the atmosphere of the school was very unique, and made me feel simultaneously connected and comfortable with being on campus. The smaller class sizes and more in-depth interactions with the professors are opportunities that usually cannot be found at most colleges, so that greatly influenced my decision in choosing UE.
Why did you choose to participate in the Honors Program?
I chose to participate in the Honors Program because I felt that this would give me the greatest opportunity to achieve and excel in my field. Not only would I be placed under more rigorous academics, but I would develop the necessary skills and leadership to be more effective in my career path.
What do you enjoy most about the Honors Program?
I absolutely love how connected the people within the Honors Program are and how welcoming they are. Cherie Leonhardt, assistant director of the Honors Program, is always willing to help, and I feel that can be said of all members of the Honors Program, students and faculty!
What has been your favorite Honors class so far, and why?
I enjoyed the Honors CHEM 118 class, taught by Dr. Tod. He always has a smile on his face and is always willing to work with students to help them achieve in his class. The class made for an amazing first semester experience at UE.
What are your plans/goals following graduation?
My goal is to utilize the teachings and experiences I have gained at UE and join Doctors without Borders to help underserved populations throughout the world. I hope to be able to use the opportunities I have been given by the Honors Program to make a significant difference in the lives of people around the world, and hopefully to create opportunities for future generations to also have the same experiences that I had here in Evansville.
