I have always wanted to be a successful and famous civil engineer. When I graduated high school, I was looking for the right place to pursue my dream. I was advised to consider UE because it has a very good engineering program that is competitive, well recognized, and full of activities, which was exactly what I was looking for. As far as the relationship between students and professors is concerned, I have never in my life experienced a better one. With classes of 20 to 30 students, the professors are always willing to help each student individually.

As an international student experiencing a whole new environment and culture, I was afraid I wasn’t going to fit in at Evansville. I was completely wrong. The University of Evansville is a small campus, yet very lively and eventful. On my very first day, I made a lot of friends, both Americans and internationals. I have only been here for eight months, and I have made friends from over 40 different countries. There are countless number of activities and clubs to join and there is always something to do. I have joined Venturing Crew (Outdoor Club), International Club, civil engineering projects, and soccer intramural league. I can't deny that I love it and can't get enough of it. With that being said, I am confident to say that the University of Evansville is the right place for me, and I have no doubt it will transform me into a great civil engineer.

Choosing to study at UE was the best decision I’ve made in my education career. Studying in the University’s Schroeder School of Business is a great opportunity. The professors there don’t just excel at being teachers and mentors or having experience in their field, but they also help us develop the necessary skills needed for our careers later in life, and they assist us in finding the best internships now. Another great advantage is that this is a small university, so you get to know the professors personally and are able to contact them with any concerns you have.

However, the UE experience doesn’t stop there. There are more than 120 student-run organizations on campus, which makes it easy to find a place where you can improve yourself and explore. I joined Delta Omega Zeta sorority, and in a short period of time, I know I have made friends for life. My sisters help me keep learning about myself with their encouragement and support. Thanks to them and my professors, I find myself braver and happier every day. I have no doubt that by the time I graduate, I’ll be the person I am meant to be.

I've always been amazed by the fascinating digital world around me, wanted to know about that mysterious world, and dreamed of being able to program and design my own computer applications. During the first semester of my freshman year, all my dreams came true! I had to take a class called "Introduction to Computer Engineering", that unique class was one of the most interesting classes that I've ever taken in my life. In the first two weeks, my classmates and I were able to design and launch a balloon with a camera attached to it. We designed the device so that it flies above the campus and takes a picture every minute. In the next two weeks, we programmed a software application that enciphers and deciphers secret messages! It was such an interesting class that showed me what I'm going to be in the future and what I'll be capable of. In the small classes, the professors have the time and space to focus on every individual student and ensure that nobody misses anything. By having my basic dream achieved in the first semester alone, I have no doubt that UE will have prepared me for a successful and professional career by the time I graduate.

Since I became a UE undergraduate, my life has taken a whole new turn: the turn of hard work and success. The University of Evansville is definitely one of the best small schools in the USA. It has a lot to offer for its students, but one must work hard to make the best out of it.

I came to UE not sure what I wanted to study. I thought it was going to be really difficult to choose a major, but I was wrong. I met my advisor Debbie Kassenbrock, and she did her best to put me on the right track. I ended up choosing Civil Engineering as my major, so I can help rebuild my country one day. UE also offers a lot of co-curricular activities that one can get involved with, such as intramurals sports, international club, etc. Again, the University of Evansville is a great school, and I’m happy I chose to study here. It is by far one of the best decisions that I’ve made in my life!

Being a student at the University of Evansville has been an amazing experience. What I like most about the health service administration program is the faculty and staff. They are very helpful and nice, especially as an international student, the extra help is needed. The faculty put so much effort into making a fitting degree plan for their students. The program is also very flexible. For instance, within five years, one can earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. By taking a few extra classes, I could even earn a minor in business.

I like the diversity here at the University of Evansville where I get to learn about so many cultures. There are so many opportunities to make friends and be active, as there are more than 120 student organizations in which any student can join.

The main reason I chose UE was because they offer my major, management information systems. Another reason the small classes, which allows students to communicate easily with professors. UE has a great business school that has helped me expand my communication skills. The professors of the business school give their students projects to work on with classmates, which creates an opportunity for students to work as a team.

I've been in Evansville for a year and half. When I came to UE for the first time, I made a lot of friends at international orientation. Most of them came from different countries, such as Brazil, South Korea, the United States, and many more. This experience taught me about different cultures and traditions. I am very pleased with my UE education and the friends I have made along the way.
