University of Evansville was a world of experiences! Starting from the huge international community to challenging lectures and great professors, I enjoyed every piece of my time spent at campus pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentration in Finance. First and for most, the Schroeder School of Business offers a strong and competitive degree, the program encouraged me to get involved in real-world business projects, such as the Global Assistance Project, also known as GAP (currently Change Lab). This was a hands-on class where we worked closely with the Global Marketing Research team of a top company in the plastics industry to identify strategic emerging markets to enter based on economic, social, and market factors and statistics. But, I also enjoyed my Art class! We were required to choose liberal art and science classes, too. And, UE was fun. Campus life is great, very easy to make friends and get involved in common-interest activities with other students. I met great friends at these events!

I was introduced to UE three years before I decided to join as a freshman. At the time, while been 15 years old, I could have never imagined that UE would become my second home. My experience at UE has enabled me to mature and grow to be the person I am today. During my four years I was able to create a family with people from all over the world and to whom I am still connected despite the distance. Also, I have received the best welcome from the university staff and professors. Their guidance and recommendations are the key to my development as a student and person. Studying at UE has given me the opportunity to be surrounded by wonderful people and provided me with the tools to be ready for life after graduation.

When I look back at my time at the University of Evansville, a lot of memories seem to rush to my mind. I spent 5 of the best years of my life at UE.

During my time there I was able to join the International Club, Scholars for Syria, a social fraternity, and was involved in so many different activities that made my time at UE even better. I was also able to complete 3 different internships at Fifth Third Bank in Evansville, Cincinnati, and Lexington. I'm very impressed by the changes the school is going through such as the new gym, the new library, and the new food services. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance and a minor in Economics. I'm currently working for Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati as part of their Investments Leadership Program. I will be doing rotations within the investments group for the next two years and then will be placed in the team I enjoyed the most. Looking back at the last 5 years of my life, I'm confident to say that University of Evansville is an exceptional school that offers outstanding programs and I'm very lucky and proud to be an Ace graduate.

One of the best college experiences an international student can ever ask for, UE encompasses all the qualities of a well rounded educational experience. Personally the small class sizes and personalized attention from professors is what drew me to UE. Besides the fact that the staff, students and faculty were very warm and welcoming right from my first day- the case based approach to my business education and real world experience in starting my own business while in college proved to be invaluable assets to me. UE sets you up for success from day one when you meet students and faculty from all across the world in such a personalized setting. At UE you are not just a number but are rather assisted every step of the way in your career. You build an extensive network of such accomplished alums across the world along with their mentorship. UE's international community and its focus on inter cultural exchange is unmatched. I was also fortunate to participate in the international student-family program and met my host family here who have become an extension of my family in the US. I shall forever be indebted to my professors and friends at UE for making my college journey so rewarding.

Small classes, a friendly environment and passionate professors are the first things that come to mind when someone asks me about the University of Evansville. UE provides students with exceptional educational experiences and the ability and confidence to succeed in life. I am majoring in accounting, and all of my professors are amazing. They not only are passionate about their teaching but also have experience working as accountants, therefore, they teach us based on their real-life experiences not just theories. I also attend Accounting Club, where we meet a lot of professional accountants, and begin to understand their experiences. Many of them are UE alumni, who have achieved high positions and inform us of their experiences. Meeting them helps me learn how to stand apart from other accountants in the job search and professional environment. Professors also advise us to take the CPA exam. Additionally, UE has a great setup for career preparation and placement. Every experience I have had at UE is remarkable. Attending the University of Evansville is one of the best decisions that I have ever made.

I am extremely lucky to have gotten the opportunity to go to UE! As an international student from Syria, I felt extremely welcomed by the UE community from my first day on campus. In my 4-year journey I was able to obtain an excellent education while forming lifelong friendships and still having a lot of fun! My most memorable experience was serving the UE International Club as President and organizing countless entertaining events for the entire campus and the Evansville community. I graduated in May of 2017 with two degrees in Accounting & Finance and I am thrilled to start my career in New York City with PwC!

I came to UE in 2013 to finish my Accounting Degree that I had started in Syria. While in college, I was fortunate to get a different internship every summer, an opportunity that gave me a big exposure to various aspects in the business world. I had internships in areas like Tax, Financial Applications, Sales, and Commercial Lending. I graduated from UE and landed a job at a reputable global accounting firm in Chicago through one of the Career Fairs that UE organized. For the first year, I worked as an Assurance Associate in the Audit Department where I got exposed to different areas of the Audit, and then after finishing my first busy season successfully, I was presented with a better opportunity to work as a Technology and Management Consultant with the same firm. There was a steep learning curve for my new job since this was not the area of my expertise but I welcomed the challenge. While I was in UE, I was lucky to make friends with people from all over the world. I learned about their cultures and perspectives and at the same time I was able to share my stories and opinions with them, a thing that made open-mindedness become one of my best qualities. In UE I learned to never stop learning and to always help others and be kind to them.

There is just so much to say about my UE experience. My accounting and business professors have been awesome! They have a way of making you love material that would otherwise be seen as complicated. By structuring their lesson plans in accordance to real life accounting experiences, students are motivated to excel not only in their core courses but also in their electives. These professors who, just like students, have their own busy agendas, will stop whatever they are doing to listen and help you with school work as well as to advise you on whatever career inquiries you may have.

With the abundance of extracurricular activities that the University offers, a home away from home is created for you. During my time at the University, I have joined the International Student Club, Black Student Union, and I am also proud to say I was part of the founding the African Students Association and served as the club's first treasurer. I also participated in basketball intramural sports, which was always a relaxing end to a class-filled day.

I love UE because it has shaped me into the adult that I am today. Through my internship experiences, my involvement in school activities, and my study abroad adventures, my attitude on life is one of a more exposed, informed, and driven individual.

My four years at UE have been life changing, and I would honestly do it all over again.

As a young adult and an international student, the stress of college has put much pressure on me. Looking back, I realize no matter how well my background has prepared me for this life, there was only one way for me to learn about it: experience. And when it comes to experience, the University of Evansville has brought me more than I expected. Indeed, I could not dream of a better academic college to study at. Its small campus offers you the opportunity to better interact, one to one, with your teachers and to socialize easily. Also, it offers academic based scholarships. In addition, it offers an honors program that helps you stretch your knowledge beyond the class walls. Although UE strongly projects an image of a strict academic college, there are still plenty of activities and parties to encourage people to get away from their books and enjoy the college experience. Yet, what amazed me about this school is its diversity among students and its study abroad program. As an international student, I may say with confidence that UE has made it easy for me to adapt to life in the US and at college by offering me the possibility to interact with people from all over the world, from having a host family to participating in different sorts of events on campus.
