A limited number of scholarships up to $10,000/year will be awarded to incoming students on the basis of financial need and academic potential. The exact amount of the award depends on the student’s financial need, as determined by the FAFSA. Scholarships will be awarded in addition to other need-based or merit awards. In many cases, receiving a CiSM award will reduce the loan and work-study part of a student’s financial aid package. Scholarships will be renewed for up to four years for recipients who continue to demonstrate financial need and maintain good academic progress in a science or math major and toward earning the CiSM certificate.

Scholarships are funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation. A limited number of scholarships are available.
