Kathy Lever teaches courses at the freshmen, sophomore and junior level. She has practiced in many different fields of nursing including surgery, obstetrics, home health care, and nursing education. She is board certified in inpatient obstetrics as well as a women's healthcare nurse practitioner. Kathy is passionate about women’s health issues and maternal child care.
Kathy serves as the faculty and alumni scholarship advisor for Chi Omega Sorority and is the current President of the Eta Lambda Chapter of the nursing honor society, Sigma Theta Tau International. As a member of the perinatal education partners, she helps plan the annual perinatal conference (PEP) offered to health professionals throughout the tristate region.
Professor Lever also coordinates the annual “Sex on Campus” educational offering in conjunction with the UE Office of Counseling Services. Under her guidance, sophomore nursing students enrolled in her Healthy Family course provide information to UE students concerning sexual health, birth control, and community health resources.
In her spare time, Kathy enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren and spoiling her two wiener dogs, Gus and Arnie. She is also an avid Aces fan and attends all home Basketball games.
