Biography

Suzanne Bailey is a tenured Associate Professor in the Dunigan Family Department of Nursing and Health Sciences at the University of Evansville. She is board certified as an Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. She has earned the Certified Nurse Educator credential from The National League for Nursing. Professor Bailey’s areas of expertise include therapeutic communication and mental health nursing.

Suzanne serves as Counselor for Eta Lambda Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. She is a member of the National League for Nursing.

Suzanne received the Dean’s Teaching Award in 2002, and was selected as a 2008 University Global Scholar for her work related to transcultural alternative healing practices. Professor Bailey was the 2010 recipient of The General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of The United Methodist Church Exemplary Teacher Award. University of Evansville nursing students awarded Professor Bailey the Daisy Faculty Award for her commitment and inspirational influence on her students in 2012 and 2014.

She enjoys local, regional, and international travel, having visited 36 states and 16 countries. Suzanne’s home is her favorite place to enjoy home-cooked meals, music, and laughter with her family and friends.
