Theresa teaches at the junior and senior levels. Her primary clinical background is in critical care and nursing leadership. Prior to assuming the position of assistant professor of nursing, Theresa was clinical adjunct nursing faculty for three years. She continues to be actively engaged in nursing clinical practice and maintains her skills at a local hospital in an acute care setting.
Notable achievements throughout her nursing career include 2016 Outstanding Service Award from University of Evansville Dunigan Family School of Nursing, 2015 Nurse of the Year at Deaconess Hospital, 2012 Sigma Theta Tau Scholarship recipient, Green Belt in LEAN/Six Sigma, and completion of the VHA Leadership course. Theresa also maintains memberships with Sigma Theta Tau, Indiana Organization of Nurse Executives, American Association of Neuroscience Nursing, and American Association of Critical Care Nursing to stay current with best practices.
Outside of nursing, Theresa is very involved with various organizations and committees associated with her boys’ extracurricular activities and school functions. She enjoys scrapbooking and being outside spending time with family and friends.
