Music Therapy Program Director
The Music Department at the University of Evansville invites applicants for a full-time, tenure track Music Therapy Program Director, open rank (assistant, associate or full professor). Primary duties include teaching music therapy core courses, mentoring students through all phases of internship acquisition and completion, supervising clinical practicum students at all levels, advising, and recruiting. Additional teaching will be assigned based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and department needs.
Doctoral degree (doctorate preferred, ABD considered), board certified, with a minimum of three years’ professional full-time clinical experience required. Teaching experience at the university level or experience as an internship director is desirable. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation. Open Rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full), rank to be determined by the qualifications of the successful candidate. Salary based on qualifications and experience.

Established over 40 years ago, the music therapy major emphasizes development of musical skills along with academic excellence. Students complete 6 semesters of clinical practice at various agencies in the area.
