Music Therapy Program Director

The Music Department at the University of Evansville invites applicants for a full-time, tenure track Music Therapy Program Director, open rank (assistant, associate or full professor).  Primary duties include teaching music therapy core courses, mentoring students through all phases of internship acquisition and completion, supervising clinical practicum students at all levels, advising, and recruiting. Additional teaching will be assigned based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and department needs. 

Doctoral degree (doctorate preferred, ABD considered), board certified, with a minimum of three years’ professional full-time clinical experience required. Teaching experience at the university level or experience as an internship director is desirable. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation. Open Rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full), rank to be determined by the qualifications of the successful candidate.  Salary based on qualifications and experience.


The University of Evansville is an independent, comprehensive, selective admissions university recognized for excellence in its core liberal arts and sciences curriculum and professional programs. Enrollment is more than 2,500. The University is a leader in study abroad and owns a campus in England, Harlaxton College. The Department of Music currently has 100 undergraduate music majors. Degree programs include Music Education, Music Therapy, Music Management, Performance, and General Studies (Bachelor of Science).
