Music Therapy Program Director

The Department of Music at the University of Evansville invites applications for an open rank faculty position in Music Therapy (Director of the Music Therapy program) starting August 1, 2019.

Candidates should hold a Master's degree, be ABD, or hold a PhD in Music Therapy or a related field.  Experience as an internship director is desirable. Candidate must be board certified, with a minimum of three years professional full-time clinical experience. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation. 

The University of Evansville is an independent, church-related, selective admissions, undergraduate university organized into four colleges and schools: Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education and Health Sciences, Engineering and Computer Science. The University, located in a city of 135,000 in southwestern Indiana, has a strong tradition in the liberal arts and sciences and international education. Enrollment numbers approximately 2,400 full-time students. The University also has a British campus, Harlaxton College, located north of London.  The Department of Music currently has 100 undergraduate music majors. Degree programs include Music Education, Music Therapy, Music Management, Performance, and General Studies (Bachelor of Science). Instruction on every orchestral instrument, voice, keyboard, and guitar is provided by 17 full-time and 9 part-time instructors.
