Residence Halls 2021-22

Please note: as plans for 2021-22 continue to be developed, living options described below may be modified.

The University of Evansville offers students a wide variety of options for on-campus living, with four residence halls featuring living arrangements to suit each student’s needs.

Types of Residence Hall Living

All of our buildings are coed, but there are various levels of coed vs single gender living.

  • The Women’s Floor – Students looking for an all-female living environment will find what they are looking for on a designated Women's Floor located on Moore Third and Hale Fourth. Enhanced privacy will be offered with an added keyed entrance onto the floor. Hours when men can be on the floor can be determined by the residents on the floor at the beginning of the year.

  • The Men’s Floor – Students looking for an all-male living environment will find what they are looking for on a designated Men's Floor located on the first floor of Hale Hall. Hours when women can be on the floor can be determined by the residents on the floor at the beginning of the year.

  • Other Single Gender Floors – Although Schroeder and Powell are coed buildings, each floor is designated by gender.

  • Coed by Floor Wing – Students living in Moore and Hale have the option of living on floors that are coed by wing or section.

  • Gender Neutral – Depending on specific needs, this may take the form of a private room, private or semi-private bathrooms, and/or designated mixed gender suite or apartment configurations. See Gender Neutral Housing for more information.

  • Theme Living – For students who are academically-driven or a real changemaker, consider UE’s Honors and Changemaker housing in Powell Residence Hall. See Theme Housing for more information.

What Students Say...

You get to meet a lot of people in your residence hall that are involved in the same classes and activities as you, which makes it easier to make friends. Malia ’24, Brentano Residence Hall
