Giving back and getting connected
As an active part of the Evansville community, UE is excited to offer students numerous opportunities to get involved through community service and civic engagement.
The first step for any student looking to give back, is visiting Get Connected, an online platform to connect volunteers with local nonprofit’s needs and events.
Visit Get Connected at:
Volunteer, advocate, engage, and explore all year long! The Aces into Evansville initiative is our way of connecting students with the greater community. Any individual, student organization, or informal group can pick a cause and get involved in the community. We help students explore options of getting into Evansville and serving where there is the most need.
UE Gives Back Fall and Spring are our two flagship service events of the year. On these days, we encourage hundreds of students to give their time to a local non-profit. Students can choose from dozens of opportunities that fit their availability and comfort level.
Catalysts for Change is a free 8-week program held each fall and spring semesters consisting of weekly sessions focused on various topics of leadership and service. We want participants to leave with a plethora of knowledge, skills, and experiences that will help them in future leadership endeavors within student organizations, classes, projects, and life events.
New for the 2017-18 school year, UE will now offer an Alternative Spring Break trip to students. Students have the opportunity to travel, volunteer, reflect, and learn from this immersive multi-day experience.
