Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy

The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana invites applications for a new, full-time, 10-month open track position for our Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.  Requirements for the position include an academic doctorate or a clinical doctorate with clinical specialist certification, at least three years of clinical experience, and eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist in Indiana.  Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in adult neuromuscular physical therapy or experience in the acute care setting.  Responsibilities include teaching, advising, scholarly activity, and service to the university, community, and profession. 

The Department of Physical Therapy has a long history at the university and has an outstanding reputation for educating high-quality physical therapy professionals for more than 35 years.  Currently there are 10 full-time faculty members.  The department houses the Dunigan Movement Analysis Laboratory.  This 1250-square-foot space is one of the most well equipped labs in the region and anchors the department’s commitment to active engagement in scholarly activity.  The supportive nature of the region’s medical community provides ample opportunities for clinical practice and research collaboration.
