WHERE IS UE?

We’re located in Evansville, which is in the southwestern corner of Indiana. The third-largest city in the state (116,000 people), Evansville sits on the scenic curve of the Ohio River and is considered the regional hub for the Tri-State.

There’s always something to do in Evansville, but we have the added perk of being conveniently close to several cities:

  • Cincinnati, Ohio: 3.5 hours
  • Chicago, Illinois: 5 hours
  • Indianapolis, Indiana: 2.5 hours
  • Louisville, Kentucky: 2 hours
  • St. Louis, Missouri: 2.75 hours
  • Nashville, Tennessee: 2.5 hours

“Initially, I was strongly against coming to UE solely because I did not like the idea of attending a small college. However, during my second visit, I began to realize the unique features of our small campus. I noticed how my tour guide was constantly waving and smiling at other students and faculty that we passed. I also noticed how lively and connected people on campus were, whether that be in the cafeteria, walking to class, or just hanging out in the library. I realized that this smaller campus provides students with opportunities to get involved in organizations they are passionate about and to be a part of such a welcoming and thriving community.”

“I visited UE during Road Trip, and it was an amazing experience. I met so many people who are still my friends today, including my freshman roommate, who’s now my bestie! It gave me a real feel for college life, and if you get the chance to go, definitely do it!”

“I am a transfer student and had the most amazing advisors help me through the process of transferring my credits, making my schedules, and ensuring I had all of the resources needed to be successful at UE. They answered all of my questions without judgment and welcomed me to campus with open arms.”

“I visited at the end of April during my senior year of high school, so it was very last minute, but I am so appreciative of the Office of Admission during this time. I was incredibly stressed about making my college decision, but once I visited, I instantly knew that UE was where I was supposed to be. Everyone made me feel welcome, and I loved the feel of campus. My tour of UE contributed immensely to my college decision. The people I met, the opportunities with campus involvement and my degree, and the overall look and feel of campus solidified my decision.”

The College Tour

The University of Evansville was featured on season 4 of The College Tour! This 30-minute episode not only gives an in-depth look at our campus but also features 10 students who tell their story of what it’s like to be an Ace.
