Resources

The UE Libraries provide information and research services which support the schools, colleges, and research of the University.

Currently, students have access to more than 22,000 unique e-journal titles;160,000 e-books; and 230,000 print volumes. Students also have access to online databases including ERIC through EBSCO (full-text), Medline (full text), Science Direct (full text), and CINAHL (partial full text). In addition, students can access Interlibrary Loan services to obtain articles. Interlibrary loan (ILL) assists scholarly research by obtaining library materials unavailable at UE Libraries.

Citation Managers

EndNote is a reference manager that helps you save time formatting citations, so you can focus on your research.

Paperpile allows you to manage your research library directly in your browser, giving you access to your PDFs from anywhere. With a smart, intuitive interface, students can use this to add citations and bibliographies to Google Docs.

Statistical Software

R Studio Desktop provides a wide variety of statistical (e.g., linear and nonlinear modelling, time-series analysis, classification) and graphical techniques and is highly extensible. One of R’s strengths is the ease with which well-designed, publication-quality plots can be produced, including mathematical symbols and formulae where needed. Great care has been taken over the defaults for the minor design choices in graphics, but the user retains full control.

R is available as free software under the terms of the Free Software Foundation’s GNU General Public License in source code form. It compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms and similar systems (including FreeBSD and Linux) on Windows and MacOS.

IBM® SPSS® Statistics is a powerful statistical software platform. It offers a user-friendly interface and a robust set of features making data manipulation easy. All analytic features are included, from data preparation and management to analysis and reporting.
