I have always wanted to work in healthcare, but I also had a passion for sports. Athletic training is a great major for anyone wanting a combination of both. I was able to find that passion reciprocated through the professors and current students at the University of Evansville. I chose UE because of the atmosphere of the campus. The professors here take pride in guiding their students towards success through building one on one relations through small class sizes. The AT program here was another reason I chose UE. Working hands on with Division I athletes starting my freshman year helped me grasp lecture material better, as well as give me real world experience. I would get to see the ins and outs of what a day in the life of an athletic trainer consisted of, giving me better insight to my future career. This program has helped me grow as a student, future clinician, and person because of the different clinical opportunities I have done.
